We wish you a Merry Christmas

We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas, And a Happy New Year!
Good tidings to you, wherever you are;
Good tidings for Christmas, And a Happy New Year!
We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas, And a Happy New Year!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
How are thy leaves so verdant!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How are thy leaves so verdant!
Not only in the summertime,
But even in winter is thy prime.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How are thy leaves so verdant!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me!
For every year the Christmas tree,
Brings to us all both joy and glee.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine out brightly!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine out brightly!
Each bough doth hold its tiny light,
That makes each toy to sparkle bright.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine out brightly!

Santa Claus is coming to town

I just came back from a lovely trip Along the Milky Way,
I stopped off at the North Pole To spend a holiday;
I called on dear old Santa Claus To see what I could see.
He took me to his workshop And told his plans to me.
So you better watch out, you better not cry, Better not pout, I'm telling you why:
Santa Claus is comin' to town.
His making a list and checking it twice,
Gonna find out who's naughty and nice, Santa Claus is comin' to town.
Santa Claus is comin' to town.
He sees you when you're sleeping, He knows when you're a awake;
He knows if you've been bad or good, So be good, for goodness' sake!
Oh, you better watch out, you better not cry, Better not pout, I'm telling you why:
Santa Claus is comin' to town.
Now, Santa is a busy man, He has no time to play.
He's got millions of stocking To fill on Christmas day;
You'd better write your letter now,
And mail it right away,
Because, he's getting ready His reideer and his sleigh.
With little tin horns and little toy drums,
Rooty toot-toots and rummy tums, Santa Claus is comin' to town.
And curly head dolls that cuddle and coo,
Elephants, boats, and kiddy cars, too,
Santa Claus is comin' to town.
The kids in girl and boyland, Will have a jubilee;
They're going to build a Toyland All around the Christmas tree.
So you better watch out, you better not cry, Better not pout, I'm telling you why:
Santa Claus is comin' to town.

Lullaby (English)
Come, good Sleep, take him
And make off with him
To St. Sophia in Constantinople,
To the gardens of Chios,
And fill his lap
With roses and more roses.

Αχ!

(English)
I am your little rabbit,
And I wiggle my little ears.
I am playing hide-and-seek,
In the cabbage patch field.
I don't have a care in the world.

Oh! Little Rabbit, Little Rabbit,
A spanking you should take.
'Cause in the next-door neighbor's yard,
Holes you should not make.

Don't close your eyes to me,
Don't wiggle your ears to me.
Don't wrinkle your nose to me,
You are so picturesque.

(English)
Sleep nurtures babies
And sunshine young calves,
And my own little child
Is nurtured with caresses.
